Dr. Elizabeth Moore

I have been a generalist OBGYN since 1998. I became an OBGYN because I have a deep personal belief that women and children, as the fabric of society and our collective path to the future, deserve our utmost respect, nurturing, and investment of resources. We OBGYN practitioners owe the utmost accountability, communication, and integrity not only to ourselves, our patients, and our profession, but ultimately to our global society.

My family’s roots are seated in the coal mining region of Shenandoah, PA, a land where there once was much opportunity, innovation, and growth. Those roots instilled within me my core values of perseverance, accountability and service to others. I am the first physician in my family. It is an honor and a privilege to have received training in the Sinai Hopkins Health Care System and serve as an OBGYN.

Our Commitments

Many of us know firsthand what it’s like to be involved in lawsuits, and we’ve been frustrated by the issues surrounding real and alleged medical malpractice. We understand what it takes to help patients in our high stress field of OBGYN and to be committed as clinicians to make medicine better for patients and our fellow practitioners. I believe that our OBGYN community can continue to create a culture of open communication and accountability.

30+ Years
Experience

My experiences

OBGYN medical expert witness work contributed to my abilities to practice medicine and enabled me to recently achieve an ACOG recertification score of 100%!
I got my start in medicolegal work after testifying in a case for which I received encouraging feedback from the attorneys (even from the attorneys on the opposing side!) that by utilizing my objectivity and effective teaching skills, I demonstrated a true aptitude and demeanor for this line of work. Inspired by that experience, I have since served as an expert witness in numerous, varied OBGYN-related cases for both plaintiff and defense attorneys.

My Medicolegal Work

By starting slowly and methodically, focusing on one client at a time, I was able, even as a single mother with disabled children and full-time OBGYN practice commitments, to create a system that opens new doors of possibilities for you, my colleagues, to thrive! My medicolegal work allowed me to transition to part-time clinical work in 2020, providing me more time to invest in my family and in “sharpening my saw,” thereby enabling me the financial freedom to design my best life.
Before I began medicolegal work, I never would have imagined a 20-to 25-hour clinical work week with a better quality of life with increased compensation! As added personal and professional benefits, I found that reinventing myself and my practice helped and continues to help insulate me against our profession’s all-too-common burnout and that having a more thorough understanding of the legal process can enhance our medical knowledge!
